Honouring our Moontime teachings by ensuring every youth and community has access to the products, education, and care they deserve — at no cost, in dignity, and in tradition
Moontime Initiatives
-
Moontime Dispenser Program
Through our Moontime Product Dispenser Project, we are working to ensure that every young person has access to free, dignified Moontime care.
We offer dispensers stocked with free menstrual products to rural and urban junior/senior high schools, youth programs, and urban outreach initiatives.
By providing access to essential products and restoring traditional teachings around Moontime, we support youth in navigating their journeys with dignity, knowledge, and pride — no matter where they live. -
Moontime Learning Lodge
Our Moontime Learning Lodge offers culturally safe, trauma-informed, and age-appropriate education about Moontime teachings for all ages and stages.
Participants learn about the sacredness of their Moontime, take part in a Full Moon Ceremony, and create their own Moontime bundles using traditional medicines and teachings.
Through the Lodge, we weave together traditional knowledge and practical information to empower youth, adults, and families — restoring pride, connection, and understanding around this sacred part of life. -
Moontime Facilitator Training
In partnership with Moontime Connections, we hosted a community-based training to grow local leadership around Moontime education and support.
Over two full days, we trained 17 new facilitators from across the Wood Buffalo region, providing them with the knowledge, resources, and cultural teachings needed to support their own communities.
Each participant receives ongoing mentorship and guidance to lead Moontime initiatives rooted in dignity, tradition, and community care — helping to restore and strengthen Moontime teachings for future generations
